West Sussex County Council are working alongside our NHS Clinical Commissioning Group partners to develop a number of 'market position statements'.
These will provide:
- information, intelligence and analysis of local health and social care needs
- potential future development opportunities for current and prospective providers.
The first market position statement to be published is for lifelong disability and autism for people aged sixteen and above:

Why we are publishing statements
We want to stimulate a diverse market for care that offers people choice so that they are supported to remain as independent as possible, for as long as possible and enjoy a good quality of life within their local communities. To do this, we need a wide range of high quality services. The market position statements will form part of our approach to market shaping and development for care and support in West Sussex.
