Autism Partnership Board (APB)

Information about the board and access to meeting dates, locations and minutes.

1 What the APB does

In response to the 2009 Autism Act and the Autism Strategy, West Sussex County Council and partners agreed to set up an Autism Planning Group. This will have accountability to the Joint West Sussex Commissioning arrangements and ultimately to the Health and Wellbeing Board for West Sussex.

The Autism Partnership Board (APB) is made up of autistic people, family and friend carers, representatives from health and social care and community services.

The board works to improve the lives of autistic adults and their families living in West Sussex. It works for and with autistic people as equal partners.

Much of its work concerns the lives of adults, but it also works to enable young people to live their best life and plan for the future.

The meetings are chaired by Diana Bernhardt, Service Manager, Adults Commissioning in West Sussex County Council.
