Request traffic lights and pedestrian crossings

Find out how to place a request for new pedestrian crossings or traffic signals.

Pedestrian crossings

We receive numerous requests to install pedestrian crossings, but we can only afford to build a very small number each year.

Requests are considered by the County Local Committee, which decides if the site is a priority.

To make a request, please contact us.

Traffic lights

A junction will only be considered for signals if there is a serious accident history or it would be a good way of managing large vehicle flows.

Installation work is prioritised by the County Local Committee and then agreed with other local agencies.

To make a request, please contact us.
