Temporary suspension or relocation of bus stops

How to apply to have a bus stop suspended or moved to allow essential maintenance work or development to take place.

1 Apply

Where possible, Bus stop suspension requests should be made at least three weeks in advance and must include a map or plan clearly marking the stop(s) you are applying to suspend along with proposed location of temporary stop(s) (if required). In some instances it may be safer and more convenient to direct customers to nearby permanent stops if they are within close walking distance.

If you are a utility company, please send a permit in the usual manner to the Streetworks team. If you are a non-utility company please email street.works@westsussex.gov.uk to enquire about booking road space.

Complete the online form to apply for a temporary suspension or relocation of bus stops.
