If you need to establish the boundary of a property or piece of land with the highway, submit your enquiry by completing the form.
Attach a clear plan showing the section of highway you are interested in. There is a charge of between £70 and £445 (plus VAT) to cover the research cost. For enquiries requiring extensive research, we will charge £65 an hour. We will let you know the fee after we have received your enquiry.
Highway boundary enquiry form (external link)Once the fee has been paid, we respond to approximately 95 per cent of enquiries within 5 working days. This will be longer if a site visit is required or the research is substantial.
