The reserve forces make up part of the armed forces and there are many reservists who live and work in West Sussex. They are a valuable and valued asset, fully trained, ready to serve and capable of deployment alongside their regular service's counterparts.
There are approximately 200 exciting, challenging and rewarding roles available within the Army Reserve, Maritime Reserve and RAF Reserve, either in a front-line or a non-combat role.
Reservists can expect to receive accredited military training to fit in around their current career and other commitments.
The County Council recognises and values the role of employees who are reservists, and aims to be a supportive employer. This role complements the County Council’s objectives as signatory to the Community Covenant.
