Report graffiti

How to report graffiti in your area.

West Sussex County Council is responsible for clearing graffiti from assets under its responsibility including things such as road signs, pavements and subways.

Many assets on, or close to, the public highway are not the responsibility of WSCC and are likely to sit with a third party. This would include things such as bus shelters, private walls, utility apparatus and monuments.

It isn’t possible to provide a definitive list of asset owners in these situations, but we would suggest contacting the relevant district or borough (use the postcode finder below) or parish and town councils would be a good starting point.

Enter your postcode below and follow the link to your local council's website to find out how to report graffiti.

Report to your local district and borough council

The county council work in partnership with a number of district, parish and town councils to clear racist and offensive graffiti from highway assets within localities. Non-offensive or non-racist graffiti is unlikely to be cleared routinely and will be subject to the available funding each year.
