Blue Badge holders can use their badge to park for free:
- within designated on-street disabled bays (for an unlimited period unless signage indicates otherwise)
- within on-street pay and display, shared pay and display or permit bays (unlimited period unless signage indicates otherwise)
- within on-street limited waiting, shared limited waiting or permit bays (see signage for limited waiting period)
- on single and double yellow lines (up to 3 hours provided this does not cause a danger, inconvenience or obstruction to other road users)
- in many off-street car parks (refer to signage)
Blue Badge holders are not permitted to park in permit bays (unless displaying a valid permit or where signage allows), loading bays, designated vehicle bays, or areas marked with no waiting or no loading restrictions, such as school keep clear markings.
