Breaking barriers, building careers
Connect to work helps disabled people, individuals with long-term health conditions, or those from disadvantaged groups, find and stay in work.
About Connect to Work
We will help up to 2,700 West Sussex residents who experience barriers to employment to find, and stay in, work. This includes people with long-term health conditions, disabilities, or those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Receiving support from us is voluntary and completely free. Our team of employment advisors work closely with you to understand your strengths and ambitions. We create a plan to help you find a job that suits your needs.
The programme offers help with:
- confidence building
- job searching
- applications
- interviews
- settling into the job
Connect to Work also helps local businesses hire staff. We match them with skilled people from different backgrounds, to help build teams that reflect the customers and communities they serve.
We match local employers with individuals who are motivated and ready to work, creating more diverse teams and supporting local workplaces to succeed.
The Department for Work and Pensions funds the Connect to Work programme.
