West Sussex Education for Safeguarding (E4S)

Information about West Sussex E4S.

Description

West Sussex Education for Safeguarding (or E4S as it is also known) is an online platform that has been created specifically for schools and education settings across West Sussex. It contains a suite of tools designed to enable teachers and educationalists to develop needs-based safeguarding curriculums for pupils; adhering to and exceeding national expectations for relationships, sex and health education (RSHE).

The platform includes a complete training hub that signposts teachers and school staff to a range of learning opportunities covering everything from pedagogy to thematic sessions designed to increase knowledge and confidence to teach children about sensitive issues centred on four main thematic cornerstones:

  • relationships
  • sex education
  • digital media and literacy
  • physical and emotional health and wellbeing.

Intended audience

The platform is currently being grant funded to allow fully subsidised access to all mainstream schools in West Sussex.

Multi-Academy trusts and specialist education providers are able to access the platform by separate arrangement.
