Living with coronavirus (COVID-19)
There are no COVID-19 restrictions in the UK. The government advise that you should try to stay at home if you have COVID-19 and provide current COVID-19 guidance and support.

Most people cannot get free COVID-19 tests. You can buy tests in shops, but you cannot report the result to the NHS.
Reducing the risk of catching and passing on COVID-19
You can help reduce the risk of catching and passing on coronavirus by:
- getting vaccinated
- letting fresh air in if meeting indoors, or by meeting outside
- wearing a face covering in crowded and enclosed spaces
- trying to stay at home if you are unwell
- taking a test if you have symptoms and avoiding contact with other people if you test positive
- washing your hands and following advice to ‘Catch it, Bin it, Kill it’.
Vaccination
The NHS encourages vaccination against both flu and COVID-19 ahead of winter. It is important for those who are eligible to top up their protection, even if they have had a vaccine or been ill with flu or coronavirus before. Immunity wanes over time and these viruses change each year.
GP practices and other local NHS services will contact people to offer both vaccines.
