Training and events

At the Virtual School we are keen to support our social care colleagues, education professionals, and parents, carers, and special guardians in the amazing work that you do to improve educational outcomes for children and young people.

We create and deliver training and events to enable you to better support the needs of those you are working with.

We recommend viewing the Virtual School calendar in Google Chrome. When using other browsers, the link does not work and is likely to take you to a Google calendar help page. If this occurs, please access this page from another browser or contact us.

We highly recommend the following free Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Online Training funded by the Home Office Early Intervention Fund.

Education professionals

There is a wide range of professional support available to colleagues in settings and schools including training from the educational psychology team, support groups for setting and school staff, designated teacher briefings, and our ‘Impact of Trauma - Though the Eyes of a Child’ training sessions which include the use of virtual reality headsets.

These activities can be accessed by all settings and schools, irrespective of whether they are currently supporting Children We Care For, and are delivered at no cost to West Sussex settings and schools.

Please find below our offer details for 2024-2025.
