About booking a registrar for your ceremony

You will need to book a registrar to perform any of the following ceremonies:

If you are marrying of forming a civil partnership, you will also need to book a notice appointment. Notice may be given up to a year in advance of your ceremony; we advise at least 6 to 8 months in advance.

What you need to do

To book a registrar for your ceremony choose from the links below. This includes all marriages, civil partnerships and non-statutory ceremonies such as renewal of vows and requests to convert a marriage to a civil partnership.

You must have chosen and provisionally booked your external venue before completing our booking form. If you are booking a council owned room, this includes the venue and registrars.
