West Sussex Transport Plan review
The plan is being reviewed to update our strategic approach to investment in, and management of, the transport network.
We recently launched a survey to gather information that will help to prepare the draft plan. The survey has now closed and we are reviewing the feedback.
The draft plan is expected to be published for consultation in summer 2021.
West Sussex Transport Plan 2011-26
The current West Sussex Transport Plan 2011-26 (LTP3) sets the strategy for guiding future investment in our highways and transport infrastructure. It also sets a framework for considering transport infrastructure requirements associated with future development across the county.
The Plan includes four strategies that guide our approach to maintaining, managing and investing in transport and for meeting our main objective of improving the quality of life for West Sussex residents:
- promoting economic growth
- tackling climate change
- providing access to services, employment and housing
- improving safety, security and health.
The first part of the plan lays out our vision and long-term strategy. Part two sets out our implementation plan with key issues and aims for improvements to the transport network across West Sussex.
