Political make-up

The County Council is currently Conservative controlled and consists of:

  • Conservative: 43
  • United Kingdom Independence Party: 10
  • Liberal Democrat: 7
  • Labour: 6  
  • Independent Group members: 3
  • Independent member: 1
  • Vacancies: 2

The next elections will take place on 4 May 2017. There are currently vacancies for the East Grinstead South & Ashurst Wood and Roffey electoral divisions. As the vacancies occurred within 6 months of the next elections they will not be filled until May 2017.
