Vacancy for an Independent member of Regulation, Audit and Accounts Committee

Volunteer sought for the Regulation, Audit and Accounts Committee.

The County Council has established a vacancy for a second co-opted independent member for its Regulation, Audit and Accounts Committee to provide independent and impartial advice to the Committee, particularly in its work on audit and accounts.

Applicants will need to show a capacity for independent thinking and sound judgement and are likely to have experience as an accountant or auditor or as an audit committee member or non-executive director in a large or complex organisation. More details can be found in the job description below. The appointment will take effect from March 2024.

Co-opted independent members are expected to volunteer their time freely, although travelling expenses are paid. Volunteers should not be an active member of a political party.
