Relationship difficulties

Relationships can be difficult and sometimes our past experiences can impact on relationships in adulthood.

If you are experiencing difficulties, there is support available to you. Your emotional wellbeing is an important element of your overall health care and can impact on daily life.

We can support you by giving you access to a worker from the Youth Emotional Support Service who can help with practical solutions to help you build resilience and develop strategies to manage.

We also recognise that there are times when you may need specialist therapeutic support and we will help you access this if you need it.

Domestic abuse

Some people’s behaviours in relationships are not what we term ‘healthy’, meaning, they are not good for our health and or physical or emotional wellbeing.

If someone is behaving in an unkind or upsetting way towards you, this maybe domestic abuse. We want to help you if this is happening. It is not right to be treated this way or to treat others in this way.

If you are acting in this way towards others, we can help get you support.

Speak to your social worker or personal advisor (PA).
