Activities and community

We want you to have fun, meet other young people and get involved in activities that develop your skills and experiences. We offer several activities throughout the year that you can get involved in.
Getting together
Getting young people together to have fun and meet each other at informal activities is important. We are always offering days out doing things like:
- bowling
- cinema
- meals
- adventures
- outward bounds
- summer BBQs
- festive events
Online activities
We know that some young people like to engage online, as well as our Care Leavers Executive Group we have a number of things that we offer to engage with you online, such as:
- hosting conversations about important topics
- having one-to-one conversations with you about things that are important
- care leavers getting together and hanging out
- playing games
Make a suggestion
We want to know what more we can do.
If you have an idea about getting together for a day out or an online activity, make a suggestion by emailing us.

Getting involved in your community
We want you to be happy and engaged in the community where you live. Your personal assistant (PA) can support you to find social and religious groups, events and activities you may be interested in joining.
We have been able to secure gym membership for free or at a reduced rate for children we care for and care leavers. If you are interested in joining a gym or enjoy any other leisure type activities, talk to your PA and they will be able to tell you what’s on offer for you in your local area, as the same things are not available in all areas.
Your PA will ensure you know how to register on the electoral role and how to vote in both local and general elections.
