Knife amnesty bins in Sussex
Sussex Police operate knife amnesty bins. These are places where you can drop off dangerous or unwanted knives or blades. There are no consequences for doing this.
The amnesty bins are available all year round at police stations and other locations in Sussex.

Stop and search police powers
Police officers have the power to stop and search you if they have reasonable grounds to believe that you are carrying something you shouldn't be. You can't refuse a search if there are reasonable grounds for it. The police can stop you from leaving if you try to.
