Book a slot at a Recycling Centre
You must book a slot to visit all Recycling Centres in West Sussex, except our mobile centres. Most Recycling Centres are only available for West Sussex residents, find out more on the proof of residency page.
There is a separate process to follow if you are disposing of commercial waste.
About visiting Recycling Centres
You can:
- make up to 5 visits per calendar month
- turn up at any time within your 30 or 15 minute slot
- book up to 14 days in advance
- book on the same day, if a slot is available
What you need to book a slot
To book a slot, you will need:
- the registration number of the vehicle you will go to the centre in - if you're hiring, enter the hired vehicle's registration number
- your address
- your email address
You must enter your vehicle's registration number correctly because you can't change the booking. If it's wrong you'll need to cancel and rebook your slot.
When you visit a Recycling Centre
You must:
- if asked, show your
- booking confirmation
- identification for proof of residency
- vehicle hire paperwork, if applicable
- follow instructions from staff
- be patient if there are people ahead of you
- wear sensible clothing, footwear and gloves (such as gardening gloves)

Book your slot
Demand is high over certain periods, such as bank holidays. To help us ensure availability, cancel your slot if you no longer need it or are unable to attend.

- cannot book more than 5 visits per month for you
