Paint

How to dispose of paint safely.

4 containers of paint.

Do not dispose of paint at home. Take this waste to your local recycling centre (RC).

  • Which RC container

    • Water based paint goes into general waste containers.
    • Flammable paint goes into hazardous waste containers.
  • Which RC accept this waste

All our Recycling Centres accept paint.

Our mobile sites in Selsey and The Wittering's are unable to accept any flammable paint as they cannot handle hazardous materials.

  • Safety information

Flammable paints classed as hazardous waste and must be disposed of separately from general waste at the RC. Always check the label.

Do not put paint in your waste bins at home. It can spill in the truck and leak out onto the road.
