Gypsy and Traveller transit site

About the transit site and how to book a space.

Our transit site is in the Chichester area. People from Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities can stay here for up to 12 weeks. There are rules given in a pitch agreement. You must sign the agreement to say that you will follow them.

Charges

It costs £93 per week to stay at the site.

You must pay 2 weeks in advance. You must also pay a £350 deposit. This is to cover any damages or costs if you break the rules. If there is no damage or extra cost, we will give the deposit back.

You must pay for your stay when you arrive at the transit site by credit or debit card. We accept:

  • Samsung Pay
  • Discover
  • Diners Club
  • Union Pay
  • JCB

We do not accept cash.

You can buy electricity from site officers during their working hours. Their contact details are on the contact us page. Make sure you buy enough electricity to last through evenings, weekends and bank holidays when officers are not working.
