Senior Social Work Practitioner

About the role
We have some fantastic opportunities for Senior Social Work Practitioners to join us across our social work teams in West Sussex.
Our offices are based all across West Sussex, including Chichester, Bognor Regis, Horsham, Crawley and Worthing.
There are some great learning and development opportunities and chances to progress up to Team Manager, Service Manager, Head of Services, Assistant Director and Executive Director.
In this role:
- you will undertake strengths-based assessments in highly complex situations
- you will demonstrate advanced social work skills and knowledge, including a sophisticated understanding of relevant legislation
- you will utilise your skills to develop and implement effective plans of support
- you will work as part of a strong and dynamic social work service with clear professional leadership
- you will aim to improve and deliver better outcomes for people, as well as contributing to and developing skills in safeguarding, improve the lives of people with disabilities and their families to enjoy valued, meaningful lives in their local community.

Starting with University or NQSW Apprenticeship, then on to:
- Newly Qualified Social Worker
- Social Worker
- Senior Social Worker
- Senior Social Work Practitioner
- Team Manager
- Head of Service

There are also opportunities for further training as Practice Educator, AMPH and Best Interest Assessor two years post-qualification.
