1 Become a partner/sponsor

West Sussex Fire & Rescue is pleased to offer you this opportunity to work with us for mutual benefit.

We work extremely hard to keep people, businesses and visitors to our county safe through a range of activities, in addition to providing an emergency response.

It is our aim to continue to provide an extensive range of services in spite of the challenging financial climate. This means that we need to find smarter ways of working. This includes making partnership and sponsorship opportunities available.

We are keen to work with partners and/or sponsors who want to support our work and are proud to have a relationship with our brand.

Opportunities include:

Safe Drive Stay Alive

Aimed at new and pre-drivers aged 17 to 24, this is a partnership with Sussex Police, the ambulance service and NHS which influences driver behaviour and attitude.

The show includes first-hand accounts from the victims, family members and 999 responders personally affected by devastating road crashes. However, the future of the initiative is solely dependent on funding from its partners and sponsors.

West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service are currently seeking partners or sponsors for our Safe Drive Stay Alive campaign and are keen to speak to anyone interested as soon as possible.

Over 120,000 students have been educated about Safe Drive Stay Alive since 2006: 89% said they thought it was worthwhile, 81% said it had changed their attitude and 67% said it would change their behaviour as a passenger.

Here’s what some young people have said:

  • “It was a very emotional experience and I believe it will change many people’s attitude to driving.”
  • “It made me realise that what I do as a passenger could have consequences for the driver.”
  • “I was never a passenger who wore a seat belt. Now I will always wear one.”
  • “The speakers' stories were so emotional and had a big impact on me.”
