Adopted roads

Find out whether a private road has been adopted and is now maintained by us.

A public, or adopted, road is a road maintained by us. Private roads are not adopted or maintained by us, which means the County Council, as highway authority, is under no obligation to carry out repairs, maintenance or street cleansing.
