Planning conditions are often applied when planning permission is granted. They limit and control the way that permission may be implemented.
Apply to discharge planning conditions
You may be granted planning permission subject to conditions that require approval of further details, such as material samples or proposed landscaping.
For minerals, waste and the County Council's own development (Regulation 3) please apply on the Planning Portal. You must register as a professional user to submit the application.
The fee is £97.00 per application, regardless of when the permission was granted and irrespective of the number of conditions to be discharged. No additional fees will be charged while we discuss with you how to get the necessary information for us to be able to make a decision.
If you wish to revise details that have already been approved for a condition we will charge a further fee.
Request confirmation of compliance of conditions
You can request confirmation of compliance with conditions to establish which have been discharged and which remain outstanding on a planning permission.
To request confirmation of compliance, apply in writing to the address below, enclosing a cheque for £97.00 made payable to West Sussex County Council.
We will let you know the decision within 8 weeks. If a decision has not been made within 12 weeks your fee will be refunded.
Apply for the removal or variation of a condition
You can apply to have a condition attached to your planning permission removed or varied by making a planning application.
