Praise for GCSE students opening their results

Release date: 25 August 2022

After A-level students received their grades last week, it’s the turn of West Sussex GCSE students to open their results today, Thursday 25 August 2022.

These students were also among the first nationally to sit in-person exams for the first time since the pandemic.

Nigel Jupp, West Sussex County Council Cabinet Member for Learning & Skills, said: “Following the success of our A-Level students last week, I congratulate our GCSE students who will be receiving their results today. They too have overcome an extremely turbulent few years and can rightly be proud of their achievements.

“This is an exciting time for these young people as they decide on their next steps, be that moving to further education, starting an apprenticeship or other training, or entering the world of employment. There are plenty of opportunities available to all students, and our careers team are on hand to provide support.”
