On 27 September, Let’s Go! Net Zero West Sussex will be hosting the second in a series of hotly anticipated business inspiration demonstrator events, “Tales From the Tipi”. The setting is Woodfire Camping near Petworth, a stunning gastro campsite with spectacular views of the rolling South Downs. Tickets are free for West Sussex tourism and hospitality businesses.
Attendees will escape the ordinary as they enjoy a locally sourced campfire feast and tour the eco-friendly campsite with founders Stella and Griff. Guests will learn how the South Downs National Park’s Green South Downs sustainability certification can work for their business, and after lunch, four inspiring local tourism and hospitality businesses, all who have successfully improved their sustainability to help achieve business ambitions, will take part in a lively and interactive panel discussion and Q&A.
The panel will include Let’s Go! Net Zero Green Business Champion, Simon Green of Stubcroft Farm Campsite, who will share how he’s embedded sustainability into his business, earning him a Visit England’s Beautiful South Award 2022-23, TripAdvisor’s Traveller's Choice 2022, and Green Tourism's Gold Award. Simon will be joined by Lesley Foulkes of Langham’s Brewery, Tom Morphew of Full Circle Farms and Steve Pomery of Tottington Manor Hotel.
Experience West Sussex, the county-wide tourism development programme will be on hand to share their plans and talk with guests about the support they can offer. There will also be plenty of time for relaxed enjoyment with industry peers, and networking with fellow attendees in stunning surroundings.
The event is a must for any tourism and hospitality business in West Sussex, keen to learn about how sustainability can attract customers, build partnerships, and drive business growth. It runs from 11.45am to 4.00pm on 27 September.
