Social care
Family support from West Sussex County Council: Early Help, Child and Family Assessments and Adult Social Care.
The Integrated Front Door (IFD) team for West Sussex Children Services receives safeguarding enquiries and referrals for children's social care and early help services. These include requests from young people and parents and carers of children with SEND who need support.
The IFD team directs enquiries to the right service for support, ensuring children receive a service in line with their needs as quickly as possible. Contact the IFD team and request support or raise a concern about a child.
The West Sussex Continuum of Need and Thresholds document helps professionals understand a child’s level of need and decide if extra support is needed to help keep them safe and reach their potential.
All teams and agencies use this tool, including the Integrated Front Door (IFD). It gives everyone a shared language and approach, making it easier to work together to support children and families.
