Renew a library item

Renew a library book, DVD, CD or other loan items.

Please note: All physical West Sussex library loans, which were due for return during our closure period, have now been renewed to at least 1 July 2020. You should now be able to check your account to see that your loans have been renewed. Depending on when you borrowed your items, your due dates may be later than 1 July. Please be assured, no one will incur any charges during the period that West Sussex libraries are closed.

If you would like to keep your library books for longer than three weeks, or your CDs and DVDs for longer than one week, you can renew them online.

The online renewal service will show you the date your items are due for return. You can also sign up to email alerts to be reminded when your items are due back

Borrowed library items can be renewed up to five times as long as they have not been reserved by someone else.

Audio-visual items will incur additional loan charges.

You will need your library card number and PIN to sign in online.
