Summer Reading Challenge volunteer

Volunteer to help run the reading challenge in libraries.

Help us run the Summer Reading Challenge - be a volunteer!

The Summer Reading Challenge: Mischief Makers volunteer role is suitable for people aged 14+.

We expect thousands of families will visit libraries this summer to take part in Mischief Makers. We need lots of volunteers to help greet them, explain how Mischief Makers works, listen to children talk about what they have been reading and hand out the all important rewards.

Do you have some time to spare this summer? Would you like to help your library encourage local children to keep reading during the holidays? You may have lots of experience working with children or families, or you could be a young person looking to develop new skills for your CV.

We want to hear from everyone who thinks they can help, so please take a few minutes to complete the online application form. We will send you an email to confirm your application before we meet you in the library.
