Summer Reading Challenge volunteer

Volunteer to help run the reading challenge in libraries.

The Summer Reading Challenge volunteer role is suitable for people aged 14+.

We are seeking volunteers to help run the Summer Reading Challenge in libraries. Volunteers will be offered full training and can gain new skills, including communication, team work and experience of working with families. This is a great opportunity for young people seeking new skills to help with school, college, training or employment.

Complete the online application form

We ask all applicants to obtain a reference from an adult who knows them (for example, a teacher or tutor), but is not related to them, by completing the reference form. If you are under 16 you will need to ask a parent or carer to complete the consent form. Please bring these with you when you come to the library.
