The Oak Room

We are taking bookings for ceremonies in The Oak Room between 29 July and 30 November 2024. It is an option during this period whilst Edes House is closed for restoration.

It is a beautiful, fully oak-panelled room located in central Chichester on the ground floor of County Hall, West Street. The room is perfect for an intimate ceremony.

Room availability

This room is only available to book between 29 July and 30 November 2024.

• Thursdays: 10.00am to 6.00pm
• Fridays: 10.00am to 6.00pm
• Saturdays: 10.00am to 6.00pm

Parking

• There is one reserved parking space.
• Guests can park in nearby public car parks.
• Pay and display parking is available onsite on Saturdays only, subject to availability.

Disabled parking

There are three parking spaces for Blue Badge holders in front of the main reception at County Hall. If they are full or a bay is obstructed, please call main reception on 01243 777100 (or textphone 18001 01243 777100 if you have a hearing impairment).

Accessibility

• Step-free access into the building - If you require step-free access follow the path under the archway to the right of the main building. At the back of the building, you will find an external lift that will enable you to access main reception. An intercom is available at the lift should you require assistance.
• Disabled toilet on basement level with lift access.

Other information

• Confetti is not permitted at this venue.
• You can video your ceremony and photographs can be taken inside and outside the venue.
• The lawn in front of County Hall is exclusive to Edes House weddings, so photographs may not be taken there.
