Community involvement

Find out how our team at the Brookhurst Wood Mechanical Biological Treatment facility engages with the local community.

Community Liaison Officer

We have a dedicated Community Liaison Officer based at the site, providing a link between the facility and the community. We have held meetings, attended community events, presented at community groups and written newsletters.

We welcome feedback and will listen and respond to your comments - please use our online feedback form if you wish to contact us.

Local Liaison Group

Our Local Liaison Group provides an open forum through which the community can ask questions and raise issues about the operation of Brookhurst Wood MBT. The Group meets quarterly and will continue to do so for the duration of the 25-year contract.

Eight local residents sit on the group. All the places are currently filled but if you are interested in getting involved email brookhurst.wood@biffa.co.uk or phone 01403 339169 to add your name to our waiting list.
