To dispose of a disassembled heater please ensure all bricks are double wrapped and disposed of in the asbestos container. Bricks are only accepted at the following sites:

Remaining metal can be recycled in the metal container at any of our sites.

  • Safety information

WEEE items must not be thrown away with your rubbish as they often contain substances which are hazardous and they must be disposed of in a controlled environment.

We do not advise that storage heaters are disassembled before brought on site. However, due to the possibility of older heaters containing asbestos, if you are disassembling a heater, please follow the HSE guidance on dealing with asbestos.
