  • Further information

In West Sussex, our compost facilities are designed to produce high-quality compost and cannot process any plastic packaging, including those labelled as compostable.

Bioplastics and compostable plastics can contaminate the compost and affect its quality.

Our facilities cannot handle food or liquid-contaminated compostable packaging due to regulatory restrictions.

Do not place bioplastic materials in your garden waste or recycling bin at home, as our sorting machinery cannot process them.
