Biscuit and sweet tins

When you've eaten all those delicious treats, this is how to recycle the tin or tub.

A tin for chocolates

You can dispose of these at home or take them to your local recycling centre (RC). Recycle the lid and body of the container separately, making sure both are clean and dry.

  • Which home bin

Both metal and plastic biscuit or sweet containers, including their plastic insert trays, can be placed in your recycling bin at home.

  • Which RC container

    Use the mixed recycling container.

  • Which RC accept this waste

All our recycling centres accept biscuit and sweet tins and tubs.

  • You could also...

    re-use them!

Biscuit and sweet tins are useful for storing small items such as toys, plant seeds, screws, pens, pet food and so on.
