You can dispose of apples in your food waste collections or with a home composter.
-
Which home bin
Food waste caddy, otherwise composting bin if available.
-
Which RC accepts this waste
Recycling Centres cannot accept separate food waste. If you need to take this material to the Recycling Centre, it needs to be placed in the general waste bins and will not be recycled separately.
-
Safety information
Do not put food waste into your household garden brown or green waste bin or the recycling centre's green waste bin. The facilities where your green or garden waste is recycled are controlled by regulations which restrict the materials they can accept.
-
Why not...
Save them!
Freeze apples for another day. Just wash, peel, core, slice and place them in a freezer bag.
You could also cook and freeze stewed apple to use in a tasty dish later.
