Fly tipping is the illegal dumping of waste or rubbish. This can be on a roadside, in the countryside or on private land.
The law imposes a duty on people to ensure that waste is disposed of properly. The law also requires us to ensure that the people we give our waste to dispose of it in a proper and safe way. This is called Duty of Care.
You can find further information and report fly tipping on public land through your district or borough council.
