Financial assessment
Kinship carers with a Special Guardianship Order living in West Sussex may be entitled to a financial assessment. This will determine what (if any) financial support you might be eligible for. Any allowance payable is means tested and subject to annual reassessment based on your family income and expenditure.

Special guardians may be able to claim benefits for the children they care for. This could include Child Benefit and Universal Credit. This is means tested, and subject to annual re-assessment based on your family income.
