Step-free access to County Hall, Chichester

How County Hall, Chichester, can be accessed by people with a physical disability.

Entering the campus

Vehicle access to the County Hall campus is via the main entrance in West Street, Chichester. The raised pathway used by pedestrians is wide enough for a scooter or wheelchair.

There are three parking spaces for Blue Badge holders in front of the main reception. If they are full or a bay is obstructed please call main reception on: 01243 777100 (or textphone 18001 01243 777100 if you have a hearing impairment).

Main reception

  • If you require step-free access to the reception desk, follow the path under the archway to the right of the main building. At the back of the building is an external lift that will enable you to access main reception. An intercom is available at the lift if you need assistance.
  • Reception staff will sign you in and give you directions to the room that you require.
  • If you do not require step-free access, head for the steps at the front of the main building.

Martlets Restaurant

  • Refreshments are available to staff and members of the public at Martlets restaurant, which has step-free access.
  • From the main entrance, follow the path under the archway to the right of the main building and you will see Martlets in front of you.

Northleigh

  • From the main entrance, follow the path under the archway to the right of the main building. When you reach Martlets Restaurant turn right and head for the undercover walkway. Turn left and follow the walkway to its end. You can find an assisted door to Northleigh on the right-hand side.

The Grange

  • For The Grange, turn left and follow the walkway passing the Northleigh door and follow the building line round to another door on the right-hand side.

Both Northleigh and The Grange offer step-free access.
