Learners will gain hands-on experience in traditional flint laying techniques, including traditional brick bonds, jointing, and pointing with lime mortars, as well as an understanding of health and safety in heritage conservation.
The course includes some directed self-study, allowing you to explore key topics independently, while also benefiting from expert guidance during in-person sessions. By the end of the course, you’ll be equipped with the knowledge and skills to work on heritage buildings with confidence, preserving their integrity for future generations.
The course will be facilitated at Chichester College construction department with a final assessment at Kingley Vale and Flint Training Centre.
