Yippee is YMCA East Surrey’s warm and welcoming club for children aged 5-11 with disabilities and additional needs – including children who need 1:1 support – across East Surrey, West Sussex and Sutton.
Yippee provides fun and inclusive activities for children, ensuring that they can play with friends and try out new activities, whilst giving families some support.
We believe that all children have the right to play. Our qualified and experienced staff lead a variety of activities to encourage children to take part and try something new.

What we do

• All staff are trained in meeting the needs of disabled children and have special training in behaviour management and communication methods, such as Makaton.
• The short break clubs run on specified dates in the school holidays and during term time on Saturdays. Families are welcome to request information by getting in touch with the team. Our sessions run from 10am - 4pm
• Yippee and Yip4Youth provide age appropriate activities and outings, ensuring that they can play and socialise with friends and try out new activities, whilst giving families some support.
• The YMCA provides qualified and experienced staff within all the short break clubs, with high staff to child ratio, to enable all to take part regardless of individual ability.
