Supajam is a small, specialist, post-16 education provider that supports young people with an additional need to gain the qualifications and experience to work in the music industry or go on to university.
Our Creative Music Industry qualification (overseen by RSL) is offered from levels 1-3.
Maths and English are also undertaken within the curriculum where a GCSE 4 or Functional Skills Level 2 has not been already achieved. Attending one of our programmes in Supajam is considered full time education.

What we do

  • We support young people with additional needs to gain experience and qualifications to go into the music industry, university or other pathways if these are not appropriate.
  • We provide industry-related work experience with appropriate support so students gain real insight into the music industry and build confidence.
  • We support young people to become more independent in both their learning and in accessing other opportunities by providing a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Service users are not expected to pay directly unless there is an exceptional circumstance. Supajam is ‘Section 41’ provider and can be consulted with in the same way as any SEN provider for students with an EHCP. We are subject to the same funding requirements of any further education college and liaise with the local authority directly to support our students with an additional need.
  • Our building in Brighton is not wheelchair accessible due to the nature of the grade listing and site.
