Owlswick offers residential care and education placements to young people who have emotional, social and behavioural needs and/or a mild learning difficulty. We have an on-site school and family style house and grounds. We can also offer day placements.

What we do

  • Young people can receive education from our onsite school. A positive school life is important to us and staff tailor learning to individual needs.
  • Creating and maintaining good relationships is a key aspect for young people at Owlswick. Staff will support young people to manage feelings of anger and anxiety and enable them to express themselves emotionally in a safe space.
  • Our goal is for young people to thrive whilst at Owlswick. Staff act as positive role models and are individual key workers for each young person. This means staff really know the young people and understand them. We aim for all of our young people to be resilient and self-confident.
  • Young people learn independent living skills through taking on daily tasks that enhance their knowledge and skills. Achieving good emotional health and wellbeing is very important to us. We aim for young people to feel confident about how they communicate.
  • We always involve and inform parents and carers regarding their young people and how they are progressing. Without feedback we are not able to make changes or improvements. We want to hear your views and opinions and will be active in listening to these.
