What we do
- Solar Heritage is solar powered tour boat and the ideal way to experience Chichester Harbour from the water. The boat is accessible with a wheelchair lift. It has a wide stable deck, and plenty of room to move around for children and adults. Assistance dogs are welcome on all of our trips.
- The boat is solar powered, so there is almost no engine noise making it perfect for a peaceful trip. Our Harbour Discovery tours are ideal for all ages. We have activity sheets and children and adult binoculars on board.
- The boat seats up to 50 people and can be hired for group or club trips. Our GetAfloat programme helps children and adults to experience the joy of a boat trip on Solar Heritage by providing free trips for schools and eligible groups/charities. To find out if your group is eligible please contact the Education Team at education@conservancy.co.uk
- Facilities onboard: There is a small toilet on board, although this is unfortunately not wheelchair-accessible. There are disabled toilets available at the trips departure locations in Emsworth and Itchenore.
