ASEND’s mission is to provide personalised, expert support for children and young people with SEND who may need more flexible, tailored provision to thrive. We work in partnership with families, schools, and local authorities to deliver high-quality tuition and therapies as well as holistic EOTAS packages that recognise each learner’s unique strengths, needs, and potential. Through compassionate, relationship-focused practice, we empower young people to re-engage with learning and move forward with confidence.

What we do

  • ASEND only accepts referrals from schools and Local Authorities.
  • We specialise in home tuition, but can at times provide tuition at venues. If this is required, we will gather all access information to ensure that the needs or the service user are appropriately met.
  • We were founded by SEND professionals and built on a deep understanding of the lived realities of special educational needs and disabilities. Everyone in our team has a connection to SEND – whether through personal experience or professional practice – so we genuinely understand the challenges and the importance of getting it right.
  • We are dedicated to improving outcomes for all young people with SEND, including those who are excluded or at risk of exclusion. No matter how complex their needs or how disengaged they may be from education, we have the experience, patience and creativity to help them reconnect, make progress, and feel safe and valued. With care and persistence, we work to re-engage them in education, support their well-being, and guide them towards a positive, meaningful adulthood.
  • ASEND provides specialist tuition, therapeutic support, and expert consultancy to local authorities, schools, and families. We design and deliver EOTAS packages, 1:1 and small-group tuition, and SEND-focused training and advice — all tailored to each young person’s unique needs. Our nationwide network includes qualified and experienced tutors, therapists, psychologists, mentors and other professionals who share our commitment to inclusive, relationship-based practice.

Our users say

"M not only has caught up with her education, her confidence has grown and she has a close relationship with her tutor."

"What has gone well is the connection between my son and his tutor. He confides in her and trusts her and is willing to learn from her. He has done his mocks never thought that would happen. Hard work from the tutor and J."

"Sahed transformed L’s attitude towards home tutoring into a positive experience. Without Sahed’s preparation for L’s advanced-level mathematics GCSE, he would not have been able to undertake the exam on time. Sahed is an absolute credit to ASEND, and we are immensely grateful for the support and teaching he provided to L."

"Sophie is a very good teacher and in addition to planning interesting activities, has also been able to read my son's mood and make adaptations when needed."

"Jason has really listened and taking interest in J's needs really well and made sure to make him feel comfortable throughout the few weeks working with him. I feel J has developed a good relationship with him and been able to start building towards doing some great work and understanding a lot more through activities J enjoys. He has worked really well with J's emotions to understand when he needs breaks and what activities he can do to help him regulate."
