The Aldingbourne Trust provides opportunities for adults with learning disabilities or autism to live meaningful and fulfilled lives and to positively contribute to their communities. We provide training and learning for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism, looking to improve and increase their skills through on-the-job training, work experience and tailored action planning. Our support is tailored to the individual to ensure happy and impactful results.
CONNECTS SERVICES These services offer residents of West Sussex with lifelong conditions, including learning disabilities and autism, support and guidance to live a more independent life. In order access the hub and outreach support services, people be aged 18+ and have a diagnosis of any of the following:
• a learning difficulty
• a learning disability
• a neurodiverse condition
• a physical or sensory impairment
• an acquired brain injury
• Autism
You can either self-refer or be referred by a professional. The aim of the service is to enable people in West Sussex to be as independent as possible in their communities. Our flexible approach includes group, one to one, and telephone support. We can help with information, advice and guidance, signposting to other mainstream services and getting the most from your local community. We support people with a range of needs, for example, housing, benefits, money, safety, bills and letters, employment, volunteering, travel, health accessing advocacy, as well as being socially and physically active. We can provide information and advice to family and carers of people who have a lifelog disability or autism. Some of our groups include:
- Our Book Club with Books Beyond Words Signing Space Our Public Living Room with Camerados Pop-up Shop Dungeons and Dragons Write A Nation Living Out Loud Song Writing.
