Animal-Facilitated Occupational Therapy Holiday Club.

This is a one week Therapeutic Holiday Club to support young people with additional needs to meet their goals, and improve their participation in their daily activities.

What we do

  • For young people aged between 10 - 16 yrs with additional needs, e.g.: Anxiety, Low Self-Esteem, Autism, Social, Communication Challenges, School Phobia, Mild Learning Difficulties, Mild to Moderate Mental Health Needs
  • Build emotional-regulation and self-regulation strategies, Develop group-work skills within a special interest community, Learn positive self-talk mind-set tools, Build anxiety-management strategies, Develop goal-setting skills, and much more
  • Small group sizes (max 6) ensure tailored, individualised and specialist treatment. We work within a trauma-informed, nurture-based approach to ensure our young people feel safe and empowered to meet their goals
  • Delivered by two highly specialist Occupational Therapists, and supported by a wonderful team of Occupational Therapy Students, who bring a wealth of innovative ideas and activities, alongside a passion and dedication to work with our young people
  • Summer 2023 Dates: 14th - 18th August
