Using social media and staying safe online
Online resources and face-to-face support from your local library.
Advice about internet safety
Our Digital, Access and Safety Partnership helps people of all ages access new technology and use it to help make their lives better. Read a guide to staying safe online and find other resources on the digital skills, support and safety resources page.
You can also find out how to stay safe online from our Your Space pages for teenagers and young adults.
Getting support at your local library
You can talk to someone and get help to access the internet at your local library. You can find an interactive map to find your closest library. There is also a list of libraries.
You can go to the West Sussex libraries website to find out more about how they can support you to use digital services, such as:
- the internet
- library photocopiers
- search engines
The library service has free online courses to help you develop digital skills, make the most of the online world and stay safe. Find out more at Learn my Way. You can also get help from a 1 to 1 session with a digital volunteer. Find out more about digital volunteers.
Improve your digital skills with Adult Learning courses
If you are over 19 and would like to learn about using devices and the internet confidently and safely, you could join one of our courses for adults with learning disabilities, which teach a range of digital skills.
