It’s important to know how you can stay safe online.

Staying safe online - an easy read guide to social media and the internet

This easy read guide is a good place to start helping you to stay safe online.

Our Digital, Access and Safety Partnership helps people of all ages access new technology and use it to help make their lives better.

Getting support at your local library

You can talk to someone and get help to access the internet at your local library. You can find an interactive map to find your closest library. There is also a list of libraries.

You can go to the West Sussex libraries website to find out more about how they can support you to use digital services, such as:

  • email
  • the internet
  • library photocopiers
  • search engines

The library service has free online courses to help you develop digital skills, make the most of the online world and stay safe. You can also get help from a 1 to 1 session with a digital volunteer. Find out more at Learn my Way.

If you are over 18 and would like to learn about using devices and the internet confidently and safely, you could join one of our essential digital skills courses for adults with learning disabilities.
